It’s Sunday morning, I woke up late and I am supposed to volunteer in Sunday School in 15 minutes. The kids are moving slower
than they do on any other day. Finally, we are in the car on our way to church, whew. I made it to church on time all kids are deposited into their classes, I have volunteered and now time to hear the pastor. Where’s my Bible?
Countless times this has happened to me and has caused me utter frustration. Life Church released a free app, You Version for anyone to download for their iPhone. It is the complete Bible and you choose from one of the many versions to use. In one of the recent upgrades, You Version now allows iPhone users to download the Bible directly to their phones. I love this upgrade because there are times when I am in a location without cell service, such as on an airplane, where I would like to read my Bible.
Would you like to have a daily reading plan with you? You Version has a list of scriptures each day on the daily reading plan. Each day the scriptures change with the date. If you missed yesterdays scriptures you can go back to that date. If you follow this plan all the way through the year you will have read the entire Bible.
The Bible has 66 books, 1,189 chapters, and 31,173 verses and finding one verse can be a little daunting at times. The find feature is extremely easy to use and gives you results in seconds. You can search the Old Testament, the New Testament, or the entire Bible.
When you find a verse, you may want to hear what modern day people have to say on the topic. You can tap the number next to the verse and read contributions. There are devotionals in some of the contributions to go along with the topic.
You Version has made it easy for me to find my Bible and I no longer ask the question ” Where’s my Bible?”
