It is Thankful Thursday again! What do you have to be thankful for this week?

These last few days have been rough. My daughter has been ill, the weather has been icky, and a dear friend has had her life and her family turned upside down. In other words, This has been one of those weeks where I realize just how much I truly have to be thankful for.

A sweet friend told me once that God gives us the valleys in our lives so that we can really learn to appreciate and enjoy the mountaintops.

Whether you believe that or not, I am sure you will agree that life is all about contrasts. Learning to expect, understand and accept these times, both good and bad, allows us to develop both humility and patience. Since I can still use a good deal of both, I think I can safely assume I will continue to have contrasts in my life for the foreseeable future. Might as well be thankful for them. :)
