Thankful Thursday: Thankful for my Daughter

Do you remember last week I mentioned how thankful I was that I had not been sick? Well, I spoke too soon. 
Yep, it hit me the very next day. My son also decided to join in the fun. At least my husband was pretty much over it so we weren’t all sick at once.
Anyway, this week I have had many occasions to be thankful for my precious daughter. She has helped cook, clean, keep me supplied with Kleenex and cold drinks and overall just been a tremendous help around the house. She was even my personal secretary yesterday and made phone calls for me when my voice was all but gone. On top of all this, she has done her school work without complaint and even kept her younger brother honest with his work. She has truly stepped up to the plate and has done it all with a beautiful attitude and a sense of humor to boot.
As busy as we all are today, it is so easy to only “catch” the wrong things our children do. In reality though, if we just slow down and take a look, there are lots of things our kids do right. Try to “catch” your kids doing something good today and let them (and me) know how thankful you are.
