Cell Phones today are far from the boring black little boxes that first came into existence. I should say boring big boxes as cell phones were huge when they first came out. Even when they starting getting smaller, they were still not that attractive. Now, however, cell phones come in all colors and many of them are beautiful and sleek looking.
Still, we seem to have this affinity for dressing them up. This post will be about fun cell phone accessories. Cell phone accessories vary by the type of phone you have but most phones have really fun things to jazz up your basic phone or even make a cool-looking phone even better.
You’ve probably seen some fun stuff for your phone in the mall or trendy little accessories stores. You can pick up these items on line as well if you simply put cell phone accessories in your search engine. Better yet, search for them specifically by the item name and this will weed out the necessary boring items like batteries, chargers, etc. However, the problem with shopping this way is price. The mall items will cost you an arm and a leg as will the cute little shops. Even stores online can be rather pricey.
So, where do you go for fun things to make your phone really pop? I’ve got the answer for you. Ebay! As with using search engines, typing in cell phone accessories will bring up unwanted items. It is better to narrow it down to find the really cool items.
I am going to share with you what I found on Ebay and what I use for my phone. First of all, we’ll talk about just what you can actually purchase for your phone. Some vary by phone and some don’t.
My favorite accessory for my phone is cell phone faceplates or covers. These run about 15-20 dollars in the mall and specialty shops. On Ebay, you can find them for anywhere from 6-10 dollars! Often, they have free shipping or will combine shipping if you purchase more than one. They make great gifts and are inexpensive enough to buy a few. With covers you can change them out often and it’s like getting a new phone.
Cell phone covers are not only fun but practical. The keep your nice phone looking new, without scratches or dings plus the rubberized ones also help protect your phone from internal damage if it is dropped. You won’t be able to throw your phone across the room or anything but dropping it on the pavement is much less scary. The are very easy to put on your phone or change often as they just snap on and off.
You just simply put in anything you like in the search on Ebay and see what you can find. You’ll be pleasantly surprised. To narrow your search even further, type in the name of your phone plus cell phone covers. The covers come in every color imaginable not to mention designs you wouldn’t even dream of. They are also available with everything from Disney to your favorite sports teams. Even the guys will enjoy covers with their favorite football team on it! What a great Father’s Day gift right?
What else besides covers can you find on Ebay for your cell phone? Charms! Charms are a fun, really inexpensive way to dress up your phone. Again, your imagination is your only limit on what you can find. I found licensed little charms in all your favorite characters. Available are animals, pom-poms, crystal and beaded, and even ones that light up with your phone rings.
If you don’t want to put a cover on your phone, there is another way to make it fancy. Ebay has bling kits. If you’ve never seen one, they are really fun! You can find everything from a collection of crystals and jewels that stick on your phone to a whole collection of stickers with Mickey Mouse or Happy Bunny on them and those kit even has their own charms to match.
